FAQ
Have a question about the DreamSpace design service? You'll find the most common ones answered below.
What will I get at the end of this service?
You'll receive a professionally presented PDF pack including realistic 3D rendered visuals of your space and detailed 2D joinery drawings with dimensions and specifications. Everything is laid out clearly so you can share it directly with any joiner, kitchen company, or carpenter to get accurate quotes.
What rooms can you design joinery/cabinetry for?
Currently we offer design packages for kitchens, utility rooms, walk-in pantries, and bedrooms. If you have something else in mind, get in touch and we can chat about it.
Can joiners and kitchen companies actually work from these drawings?
Yes, the drawings include the dimensions, layouts, and specifications that tradespeople need to price and build your project. The whole point of DreamSpace is that you arrive at every supplier conversation prepared, informed, and in control, to get the best value for your design.
How does it work from start to finish?
Once you purchase a package, we'll arrange a video call to discuss your space, style, and requirements in detail. From there, I'll create your design and send it over as a draft along with a short video walkthrough explaining everything. You'll have time to review it and note any changes. I'll make those adjustments and send you the finalised files. Your design is then ready to take to suppliers.
How long does it take?
It can take up to 1 week following our video call for me to create the draft batch of drawings depending on amount of rooms, current workload etc. Most revisions after the draft stage can be completed in a day.
What do I need to provide to get started?
After you purchase a design package, I will send you an email with current video call slot availability and a list of requirements. Please email to me your 2D plans if you have them or a combination of sketch dimensions. If you know what style you are thinking of going with (traditional/contemporary etc.), you can include that in the email too! We will go through everything in detail on the video call.
What if I don't have professional floor plans?
That's completely fine and very common. A hand-drawn sketch with measurements, or even a photo of the room with key dimensions noted, is enough to get started. I'll guide you on exactly what I need in the video call.
Can you come to my property to measure the space?
This will very much depend on the current workload, if you are unable to measure the rooms yourself, please let me know and I will look at my availability. I only have availability to measure on weekends, and this service will come at an additional charge based on distance and time involved. Please note I cannot measure locations outside of Ireland.
How many revisions are included?
Each package includes one round of revisions after the draft is sent. This covers any changes to layout, finishes, dimensions, or anything else you'd like adjusted.
What happens if I want changes after the design is finalised?
If you'd like further amendments after the finalised files have been delivered, these are charged at a fixed fee per change or an hourly rate depending on the scope. I'll always be upfront about the cost before doing anything.
Do you work with clients outside Ireland?
Yes. The entire service is online, so I can work with clients anywhere through English. All calls are done via video and files are delivered digitally, so location is no barrier.
Do you recommend specific suppliers or kitchen companies?
For clients in the Galway & Clare area, I can recommend trusted cabinet manufacturers. I can also recommend stone worktop fabricators. For other areas your drawings are yours to take to as many companies as you like, get multiple quotes, and choose whoever is the best fit for your budget and preferences. My job is to make sure you're in the strongest possible position when those conversations happen.
Is payment taken up front?
Yes, full payment is taken at the time of purchase through the website. This allows us to schedule your project immediately and get things moving without delay.
